Forest Lawn Memorial-Parks & Mortuaries stands for dedication to service. This effort is evident in the manner in which we will consider anything possible in order to meet the needs of the families we serve in arranging for their memorial and interment services.
At the heart of Forest Lawn is the Memorial Counseling department, specializing in meeting with families and planning all aspects of celebrating the life of loved ones in way that often exceeds expectations. Our Memorial Counselors understand the importance of celebrating a life and they help families do this every day by truly caring about the individuals with whom they meet and doing what they can to aid in creating a unique and special service. Whether it is a traditional funeral service or a completely individualized ceremony, our goal is to help families create a meaningful, personalized service based upon each family’s unique desires.
Our Memorial Counselors assist our client families in creating a meaningful memorial service, inform them about the different service offerings and complete the paperwork required for the arrangement process. The Memorial Counselors also assist with the selection of property, assist on services and resolve any complaints and problems.

Qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience in a professional work environment.
- Previous sales experience is a plus.
- Must be detail oriented, compassionate, caring and ethical.
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite programs; Word and Excel.
- Must have knowledge of office administrative procedures, and knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment.
- Ability to adapt and learn in a changing work environment.
- High School Diploma; G.E.D.
- Valid California Driver’s License.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- Billingual a plus.

DRUG TESTING POLICY
Prior to beginning employment, all job applicants who receive a job offer will be required to voluntarily submit to a drug screening test conducted by a laboratory designated by Forest Lawn. The drug screening method is a hair collection test that will detect the use of illegal drugs within the past 90 days. A positive drug test may result in the withdrawal of the job offer.
E-VERIFY STATEMENT
Forest Lawn has registered to participate in the federal government’s E-Verify program. With E-Verify we are able to confirm the employment authorization of all newly hired employees through an electronic database maintained by the Social Security Administration and Department of Homeland Security.
