Family owned funeral homes with locations in Sanford/Springvale and Portland/South Portland are currently seeking compassionate and responsible people to assist with transferring decedent’s from the place of death.
This position has historically been a perfect position for those who are retired and/or have a background as a first responder. The qualified candidates will possess a passion for helping others, incredibly high ethical and moral standards, compassion, excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, professional behavior and appearance, empathy, clean driving record and the ability to lift a reasonable amount of weight. Due to the nature of our business, these positions require the candidate to have professional attire (suits/sport coats), live within a 30 minute radius of our location, have a clean and crisp appearance, work an on-call rotation to assist with transfers of decedents between the hours of 5PM-5AM, working weekends and holidays.
A clean driving record is required. Applicants will be required to attain the appropriate state licensure upon hire which would be subject to a background check. The work we do is incredibly rewarding work. We are assisting families at the absolute worst time of their lives and they are entrusting their loved ones to us.
