Part time Pathology Lab Assistant
Location of position – Eastern Division Office
$11.44/ hour
Education and Experience:
Must be a high school graduate or GED equivalent. Preference will be given to undergrad and graduate forensic and/or medical students. Proper skills in writing, reading, and speaking the English language are imperative.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under administrative direction during normal duty hours, receives and releases bodies, documenting personal effects with regard to human remains, answer telephone calls and relay messages to appropriate staff; re-stock supplies and clean as required. This job requires a Laboratory Assistant to be a visible representative of this agency and adhere to agency policies and guidelines. Perform related work as required and assigned.
Special Requirements:
Employees must possess and maintain physical and mental stamina to perform required work and be willing to accept the physical and mental discomforts inherent to this position. Work hours will be 12:00 pm- 4:00 pm Monday through Friday or 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Candidates must be able to pass a rigid character and background investigation.
Applicants cannot work for any funeral home, crematorium, or law enforcement agencies.
